A Compound Bow For The Whole Family!

This is what I love the most about this bow:

When you get a bow, you usually have to make sure that its draw length is correct for the archer. When using a compound bow, this means that you have to adjust the draw length, so that it fits.
So, if you adjust it for your little son or daughter, the draw length would be most likely to short for the older brother or for yourself.
Keep in mind that you can overdraw and damage a bow, if the draw length of the bow is not enough.

Now, the fantastic Genesis Bow does not have this problem!

The draw length is always right, because it adjusts itself automatically!
No matter who uses the bow, he will not overdraw the bow, and your kids can not outgrow this compound bow!

Imagine this:

You buy your kid this compound bow now, and it can use it for many years, no matter how much it grows in that time!
You can even use it yourself as well as the rest of your family.

This bow is made for the whole family!

What You Get For Your Money

This bow does not come with any extra equipment.
The bow comes exactly as you can see it in the picture, so you will need arrows as a minimum requirement to be able to shoot with this bow.
To learn everything about sights, quivers and more, check out my archery equipment guide.

True, there are compound bow sets for children that are way cheaper than the Genesis Bow, but they are usually not very durable, and their draw length is very limited and not as flexible as the Genesis Bow.

Remember, that this bow will grow with the archer and is also used by the National Archery in the Schools Program!

The National Archery in Schools Program trusts this bow. There is no reason for you to not trust in it either!

More Facts You Should Know About The Genesis Bow

The bow is made of aluminum, which makes it very durable and light weight at the same time. Even very young archers won’t have a problem to use this bow.

The draw weight can be adjusted between 10 – 20 LBS.
This draw weight might seem a bit low to you, but it is perfect for young archers, beginners, or for people who just want to practice archery as a hobby.
It is extremely fun to shoot the Genesis Bow and many new archers over estimate themselves and start with a bow that is way too strong!
A bow that is too strong is the best way to develop bad habbits, that will be difficult to get rid of later.genesis camo

Warning: This bow can not be used to hunt big game!
If you want to hunt something with this bow, then you can only use it for small game like rabbits, squirrels, etc.
This bow is made for target practice and to learn how to become a great archer, not necessarily for hunting!

The Genesis Bow is also very quiet and has very little recoil.

When you buy this compound bow, be sure to choose the correct one. Right hand or left hand!
The bow can not be just turned upside down to use it with the other hand, but both options are available for sale.
To find out which bow you need, you have to know your dominant eye!
Learn how to figure out whether you need a left handed or right handed bow in my archery trainng.

My Rating Of The Genesis Bowgenesis orange

My Cons:

  • “only” 10 – 20 LBS draw weight
  • no additional equipment

My Pros:

  • right hand and left hand available
  • draw length adjusts itself automatically
  • very quiete and little recoil
  • durable and light weight
  • trusted by the National Archery in the Schools Program
  • grows with the archer
  • easy to upgrade (holes already drilled in the riser)
  • a bow for the whole family

As you can see, the pros outweigh the cons by far!
The draw weight is not really a bad thing, in my opinion, because this bow is mostly made for young archers or beginners.
And as long as you don’t want to hunt big game, a bow with 20 LBS is more than enough to become a great target archer and have a lot of fun!

Some might think it bad, that there is no sight included with this bow, but I personally think that this is actually a great thing for beginners.
Sights can distract archers from learning all the correct archery steps they need to be aware of.
A plain bow is a great way to get a feeling for archery and when you have learned the basics, you can still upgrade your bow with a sight and other equipment.

Without a doubt I can say that the Genesis Bow is the best compound bow for the money you can get at the moment!

Sounds interesting. I attended archery class on my college years and I got hooked with it. It became one of my sport and now, I am planning to buy for another bow because its already old. I wanted to replace my old bow and I guess this genesis original bow will fit my requirements. Thanks for a great review

    Hi Karl,

I am happy to meet a fellow archery enthusiast!

I think that the Genesis Original Bow is a fantastic bow!
The only thing you have to consider is its draw weight. Is that enough for you?

If not you might find the PSE Stinger Compound Bow more interesting!

    Have a great day!

I’ve actually been thinking about hunting recently, I have a lot of friends who enjoy it, but it never seemed like that great of a thing. It wasn’t until recently that one of the friends took up bow hunting and that actually seemed more appealing, so as a beginning I do find myself interested in the bows you’ve written about.

    Hello Devin,

thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment.

Bowhunting can be very rewarding and fun. It is like in the old days and getting a kill with a bow takes a lot of skill and experience.

Take a look at all the bow types you can choose from to find out which suits you the best.
A nice way to practice hunting, without actually hurting animals, is by using 3d archery targets.

It is important to hit the animals in the right spot, to avoid slow and painful deaths.

Let me know how everything goes and when you need some more help.

    Cheers

It’s super interesting this review on The Genesis Bow. I do not know bows and arrow a lot ( I am a newbie ), but I have some interest in that, in general, because you need focus, precision ( like in martial arts ). I love the way the blog is made, It’s clear there are all available information. I, personally like the energy from your post.

I look forward to reading your next blog

have a super day

I have always wanted to get into bow shooting. I have flirted with buying a bow for several years now, but I think I just need to go ahead and get myself one. This might give me a good start and I could always size up if I need to. Thanks for the great read and the good advice!

    Hi David.

The Genesis Compound Bow is a great bow for beginners or youth archers, but in your case I would recommend something bigger.

You would outgrow this bow quickly. Only if you also have kids would I recommend this bow to you.

Take a look at the PSE Stinger Compound Bow or the SAS Rage Compound Bow.
Both are of a fantastic quality and will last very long.

As a beginner, you might also be interested in longbows or recurve bows. Read about the different bow types and decide then what bow suits you the best.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

    All the best.

These bows look awesome. Makes me think of the show Arrow. I’ve always wanted to learn archery. Seems like a very fun skill to learn. I’m fairly good with a firearm, might as well learn a new marksmanship ability. And it seems the bows are much cheaper than a good firearm haha. Definitely will give this some thought. Great review

    Hi Wil,

archery is definitely a sport you should try when you love the outdoors.
It is quite different from shooting a rifle or a gun, but it is very rewarding.

Let me know if I can help you with anything.

    Cheers
